Over the course of a semester, I volunteered at the Ann Arbor Senior Center, a recreational center for adults to come and practice Tai Chi, play mahjong and bridge, and most importantly enjoy each other's company. During this time, I captured the events of the center and was given a glance into the lives of a few of its members.
Tai Chi: a slow moving form of martial arts known for its healing benefits, especially among the elderly.
One Monday, I asked a group if I could photograph them playing mahjong. They said as long as I sat down and learned how to play. From then on out, I never missed a Monday.
